Joined Aug 2023 to work on genetic improvement of drought tolerance in rice using exotic germplasm.
Dr. Subudhi brings experience in conventional and molecular breeding and genomics across wheat, Brassica, sorghum, soybean, and rice. Current interests include climate‑smart rice, genetics of aflatoxin resistance, corn inbreds/hybrids with reduced aflatoxin accumulation, domestication traits, and germplasm characterization. The goal is to apply novel breeding and genomics tools to develop climate‑resilient field crops with superior agronomic attributes.
